Baruch ata adonai eloheinu, melech ha'olam hamotzi lechem min ha'aretz. 

Blessed art thou, O Lord our God, Creator of the Universe and of all sustenance who has made the festival bread. 

We recognize that their are many who do not have enough to eat, and who are also in suffering and slavery.  We pray that all people may share in God's nurture and attain freeom from fear and want.
