Noun: An informal gathering in South Santa Clara County to dialogue about our various religious and spiritual traditions.
Verb: To build bonds of understanding among different religions and denominations.
Striving to become advocates of Peace and Understanding.
- Aware of the violence that comes from ignorance and prejudice.
- Curious about the delight of exploring people different from ourselves.
- Compassionate in our hopes and dreams for one another, and in our caring for victims of war and intolerance.
- Diligent in preserving our freedom of religious expression.
October 2001 – Together in the Aftermath
A first gathering after September 11, 2001.
March 2002 Exploring our Spirituality:
Part 1 – Prayer: A breakfast meeting where three presenter, one from the Protestant tradition, one from the Catholic tradition, and one from the Islamic tradition spoke about prayer.
March 2002 Interfaith Exploration of the Seder
Morgan Hill United Methodist and Congregation Emeth share a time of learning about the Jewish Passover feast.
April 2002 Walk for Tolerance:
A walk from Gilroy’s St. Mary Catholic Church to the Gavilan Memorial Cemetery to join with the Jewish Community dedicating a monument to “all victims of war and intolerance”.
